Church Services
Sunday’s coming!
As you would expect our main activities are Sunday services of worship and teaching.
As an evangelical fellowship we recognise the centrality of scripture in our worship. Therefore preaching, combined with application of God’s word to our 21st century lives, forms an important part of our worship. We want to be a fellowship who draw nearer to God’s presence in worship and whose lives reflect the love of Christ as we seek to obey Jesus’ commands to live in the way that he would do.
Prayer is also important to us and we encourage open prayer and sharing during services.
Morning Service:
Our Sunday morning service is at 10.30am and this is the largest of our meetings.
The service always includes a time of ‘family worship’ before the children and young people go to their own groups for teaching. All of our activities comply fully with ‘safe to grow’ child protection standards and we value enormously the contribution that children make to our family.
Evening Service:
The evening service (usually at 6.30pm) generally takes a quieter pattern and the smaller numbers allow experimentation with greater variety.
Communion is a crucial aspect of worship to us and we share around the Lord’s Table at the evening service on the 1st Sunday of each month and the morning service of the 3rd Sunday, and at other times.
During our services we draw from a wide range of musical traditions. We have a large number of very talented musicians who provide various styles of accompaniment as we sing contemporary and traditional songs and hymns.
